At the start of a new term we have undertaken a short project to look at analysis of available software for environmental and energy modeling. To achieve this goal I worked with a team for a few hours this past week to write a short paper about software evaluation methods and have created a few interactive graphs to go along with them. The whole idea of this was to be able to embed these graphics within my blog for easy use, but alas it seems that the free wordpress just isn’t up to the task. Instead I’ve included links below to the paper and graphics hosted externally. If you skip the paper, you will find that the graphics utilize a weighted evaluation system to guide each user to their ideal software based on what uses are most important to them. Happy reading!
